Aug Rock the Rovers 4 Kirkcaldy
We arrived at about 3.40pm to the gig as our slot was at 4.15pm.  We unloaded our gear and headed into the venue. Spoke to the organisers about where to store the stuff and headed in for a pint and there was a solo guitarist on the candleroom stage.
We then were told that Velour Armour had to pull out as I think it was Jug the siniger had food poisoning and we would be on now at 5.15pm.  As we talked to people we told them the time had changed and about ten minutes later we were told we were back on at 4.15pm again!!! So we troop back through as a crowd was starting to accumulate in the candlerooms.

We went on and blasted through the set with some vigour and after four songs I was knacked, not so much a marathon runner but think of the guy Bolt in the Oylimpics but with shorter legs and a few years older!!!!  But we just went for it as people were up for a bit dancing.  Before we knew it we were finished and we wer packing up.

Talked to lots of people after the gig and we really appreciated you guys came down early to see us and the whole event was great.  We descended into the crowd and got hammered, job done!

Aug Harlem Kirkcaldy
Been a while since we have been in Harlem and Kirkcaldy for that matter.  Fridays have been pretty quiet we've been told so not expecting much tonight.

Set up with sound engineer shadowing Brian the Harlem sound engineer, and everything was fine.  Headed up to Bar Itza to see the very good State of Energency who play a mixture of rock and original covers.

When we got back to Harlem the place was pretty busy and by the time we went on got very busy.
I always have trouble seeing my words so we have a set of par cans behind us so I can see what I am doing and works fine.
At one point I descend into the crowd for a bit of sing and dance and strutted on the bass speakers for a bit, better than playing guitar, drummer hates it but there you go!!!!!

Great night and very busy so we are happy. Looking forward to Rock the Rovers on Aug 24 at 4.15pm. We are being sponsered by ACA sports again this year.

Got a bit pissed after the gig which was nice and now we have a weekend off,  mmmm, I like playing but some RnR wont go a miss.

Hopefully see you all at Harlem for RtR, come down and suport the charities, its all for a good cause

Aug Kyleakin Gala Isle of Skye
Had to leave a wee bit earlier to ensure we got up to Kyleakin in time but hit loads of caravans on the A9 fighting their way through the torential rain on their way to a weeks holiday in a wet caravan.... great.

Arrived with the sound engineer in toe and started to unload the gear into the marquee that was sited on the main village green. By this time the rain was stoating down doing nothing for ma hair, bummer.  Didn't take long to set up with the full PA and some lights but didn't have time to go to where we were paying to get changed so just had to satisfy with getting changed in the back of the van with a couple of cold beers, very rock n roll.

Brian went into speak to the guy to find out when we were on, this was 10.30 and the guy said 10.45pm........ there was about 10 people in the whole marquee which could probably hold about 300-400, great!!!

The crowd had amassed to a mighty 20 by the time we went on and started the set.  However, during the first two songs there must have been about 200-300 people came through the door??? After about four songs the place was heaving and ended up being a fantastic gig.

The place was rocking so much at two points we tripped the power near the end of the second set but it didn't stop the crowd continuing to sing along and we played onto to about 1.45am.

Glad we done this gig, it was superb.  We like Skye and the people.

July Kinglassie Miners Welfare
First time for us in this venue and wasn't sure how it would go its always the same with a new venue but it is the exciting bit. As soon as we got there to set we were told the gig was sold out so at least we were playing to a full house.
The hall isn't massive but holds around 100- 120 and has a big enough stage for the three of us.  We brought along Jason our sound engineer and set up.

The sound was surprisingly good for this type of hall and we nipped off for a quick pint to the other pub in the village.
By the time we got back the place was busy. We got changed (a changing room and not just the gents toilet!) and went on for the first of two sets.

Today was schorchio and we were sweating under the lights. My voice had been knackered from T in the Park and was trying my best to rest all week but held it together, just.

By the second set the dance floor started to fill and people seemed to be out for a good time.  By the end of the gig the dance floor was full and people were up on the back of the seats, excellent.

The gig, venue, crowd and staff were all great and we really enjoyed the gig cheers.  Apparantly the sound was excellent too so well don Jason.

Thankfully we are back in Sept 14 and apparantly people were asking for tickets at the gig so looking forward to another good gig.

Oh and thanks to Ron Small who had a hand in getting us the gig, sorry you missed us, hope you had a god holiday and see you in Sept!

July - WEEKEND OFF AT T IN THE PARK
Dave and mate Brian spent three days basking in the scottish sunshine and getting very, very drunk!!!!

July British Legion Glenrothes
Started out a wee bit earlier as we had the sound engineer with us.
When we bought the "snake " multicore I opted for the 30m length on a massive drum thinking we will never need that much but this was only the third time we have used it and needed exactly 30m, well there you go, spooky!

Anyway.

The British Legion has been busy lately basically because its a great club and the drink is reasonably priced, so we were looking forward to a good night.

When we went on the place was fairly busy but by about two songs in the place was heaving, I think this is the busiest I have ever seen it.  There was a good mix of people in too and one girl says to me "I start work at 4 in the morning, so you better be good" as she dissapeared onto the large dancefloor.

The fire exits doors had to be opened cos of the heat.  At the halfway mark of the first set the towel I had was already soaking as the dancefloor was full for the rest of the night!

We got some photos from Jason which is a bonus and next week end sees me at T in the Park trying to catch as many bands as I can.  I see Tennents have a low alcohol lager there as well so much try that............not!

See you in a couple of weeks.

June Bar Itza
Scottish people are funny.  We complain when it rains and wish for sun, and when it is sunny we complain that its too hot!!!!
Well the sun was scorching the pavements.  Jason our sound engineer was working today so we set up a with plenty of time to get him settled in. When we arrived at the pub we noticed that the blinds were missing and with the sun streaming in through the windows the stage lights would be lost.  So in true Blue Peter style it was out with the black sheet and some sticked backed tape and we were sorted.

We put up the new band backdrop from
ACA Sports in Kirkcaldy who made a fantastic job and it really sets off the band.
After doing the soundcheck we headed home (beauty of playing your home town) to get ready and have a quick beer.

When we arrived the place was starting to fill up and by the time we when on there was a good crowd.  There was a great atmosphere in the pub with people dancing around and we really enjoyed it.  Half way through the second set people started to dance on the seats and at one point probably due to the occassion and amber nector the guitar was abandoned and I joined them while I attempted to sing a song!  Brian hates me doing that but it was a great laugh.
We played past 7.30pm but its hard not to enjoy yourself when the place is jumping.

We packed up and had a couple more beers before disappearing for the long journey (1.5mins in the van!!!!) home.

We have been asked to play Rock the Rovers again but did say we wouldn't do it this year as that's been three years in a row, but not sure whether we should play so you might see us yet.

Oh and well done Spain for winning EURO2008.

June Styx an Selkirk
Friday night in Styx an dits the first night with Jason the new Sound Engineer.  We took our time to set up to give him a chance to get to know the kit and he seemed to do quite well so looking forward to the next gig.

Th eplace was really busy tonight so the adverts on Kingdom FM must be doing OK. Great night.

Selkirk was quietish when we went out for a pint as the remnants of the Gala made their way home but a sizable crowd ended up at the club.  We chatted to a good few people who have seem us before and it was nice to have a chat.  After a few songs the dance floor filled and it was a good night. We like the club and the people and looks like we will be back again next year.

June British Legion and Imperial Bar
Been a while since we were in the British Legion and I'm sure tonight must've been the busiest yet.
People just want to dance and the floor was busy from the start.

Tonight was warm and we all were feeling the heat as we sweated buckets.  I'm even sure "cool steady eaddie Billy" even shed a small bead of sweat!!

Fantastic night and at least we will be back at the start of next month.

The Imperial was busy to start with but got really busy later on.  The pub is small but we seem to get a lot of room so not complaining.  It was nice to see and talk to so many people who saw us last time, cheers.

May Bar Itza Kirkcaldy
Seems ages since we were last in Bar Itza but as it was my mates Brian's birthday we were going to get stuck into some drink after the gig......... least we could do, so was looking forward to the night.

We have been to a few other pubs on a Friday inbetween playing recently and a lot of places have been quiet so wasn't sure what to expect.  Bar Itza is having a new bar fitted upstairs and will be ready in a few weeks so looking forward to see what that looks like but meant the toilets were open downstairs so we had to make room.  Glad we're not a six piece!!! he he

Bar Itza always has a good atmosphere about it and soon the place was busy as we went on around  9.45pm and we rattled through the numbers.  Broke a string on the black guitar (strat) and picked up the guitar I got from Sandy (sunburst strat) and it plays great, normally only use it for practicing but thought I would give it an airing tonight.

Brilliant night as usual, always wondering when people are going to get bored with us but we just keep trying to add new songs as we go so just enjoying it.  We just LOVE playing (shame about the PJ Malloys gig getting cancelled so Sat night Off....Ouch)

Packed up and headed into the night and have vague recollections of Stella and Moet & Chandon, superb...

Oh, only 5 weeks till T in The Park!!!!!!!!!

May Kittys Kirkcaldy
It seemd to take ages to get set up tonight mainly because we bought a new mixing desk this afternoon and of course we are not going to read the instructions, just plug in how hard can it be?  10mins later and still no sound, but eventually the sound came through and proved to be worth every penny.

It was a late start to the night, well, actually morning as we went on stage at 12.15am.  We played a mixture of new and old favourite that seemed to go down well.
We got some photos but check out the
BEBO page for them.

A great but very late night!

May Isle of Skye

Weekend forecast was for sunny skies so Dave decided to travel up on the motorbike along with mate Harry who offered to take some video and pictures.
Now, Dave's sportsbike only does 100 miles per tank of petrol so strategic planning was required to ensure that the petrol stations when open and available.  Lets face it the petrol stations are few and far between after Dalwinnie!!

Everybody arrived in tact at the King Haakon although Dave and Harry's arses were a bit numb apparantley and tales of deer on the road continued during set up.

There was a good crowd in tonight and Harry happily squeezed off about 100 pics, unfortunately no pictures were in focus, yeah of course Harry it was the camera and not the amber liquid's fault!!!!

Brian had his cycle up with him but a sustained a puncture sustained in the back of the van put paid to him streaking up to Portree in his lycra so while Bill and Bri took to the van, Harry and Dave travelled via Dunvegan to Portree.

Tonight was buzzing in the Caley and after about 4 songs the place was heaving.  Harry managed to get some really good photos this time with his camera and we shot the video as well, fantastic.

Thanks to everybody who came out the last two night and appreciate the hospitality extend to our cameraman for the weekend.
See you all in Sept....

May Harlem, CISWO, Torleys Fife
Triple header this weekend.  Just how we like it.
Harlem doesn't put many bands on now which is a pity as after a couple of songs the place was really busy. Played some new songs which went down well and we had a great night although after we played got stuck into the free beer and apologies to everybody we taked to at the end if we were blethering sh*te.

First time in the CISWO in Glenrothes.  Its an old club that is actually being demolished and rebuilt soon.  The hall is large with a big stage and, what we suspected, a pole in the centre of the stage!!!   cool!!! Me and Billy both had a go but just not got the knack!
The place got relatively busy as we played on and it was obvious that people just wanted to dance.
PS. Some of the grafetti behind the stage was class with some of the cheesiest posters for bands from a few years ago.  Some real smart haircuts back then, mmmm ........... those mullets!

Afternoon at Torleys was sold out.  We were on a 4pm and after a few songs (and some more vodie and coke) people started to dance. We played three sets and by the second set we were in full swing and at one point I think most of the people were crammed on the dance foor.

Thanks to everybody who made this weekend great we really enjoyed it.

April Styx Glenrothes
Arrived a wee bit later to set up as we dont go on till around 11.30pm.
Soundcheck went well, as after getting rid of the feedback (graphic equilizer is just the best thing ever well until we buy something new and its the best thing!) the sound was good and the bass drum was kickin.

Headed to The Brit Legion for a couple of pints and saw a three piece playing.  Cant remember the name but they were fine, playing a mixture of classic and upto date stuff.

When we started playing at Styx the place was semi busy but after a song the dancefloor was full and its a pretty big dancefloor!  Three songs in Dave feels his voice start to go but managed to keep up the pace all through the set.  Didn't stop him shredding his thumb on the guitar, ouch looks like a sore one!

April The Room Inverness and Methil Charity gig
Been a long time since we were in Inverness.  If I can recall we got double booked and ended up having a night off last time.

The Room is a newly refurbished bar in the centre of town.  Ample space to set up in which was nice.
We booked in to the Highlander Hostel, at £8 a head its cheap accomodation if you don't mind sleeping with 13 other people!!

Inverness is like a few of the towns we have visited in the past where a curfew is in place.  With Inverness, if you are not in the night club/late licence pub by 12 midnight you dont get in, so at 11.45pm all the other pubs empty, including our one to a certain extent.  Fri wasn't too busy but the crowd really appreciated the band which was great.

We got up early and headed to McDonalds for breaky.  What were we thinking?  I now remember why I avoid the food at McDonalds, yuech!!  Although the coffee was pretty good.  A quick manly look around the shops and headed into the boozer, nothing else to do.

Saturday night was busy and the crowd really seemed to enjoy the band, but as 11.45pm came, zoom, exit stage left out of the door.  There was still people left but about half the pub had disappeared, still we enjoyed ourselves.

Headed back down the road to discover that there was snow everywhere after Inverness.  This is April!!!!

Managed to get down to Methil and it took us 30mins to find the Exservicemans club in Methil. (have to remember to find out where places are in the future before we travel)

Due to the earlier bad weather and the turn out for the easter bilers run was a bit less than expected although a lot of the club members made it down for the drinking session.

Played for over an hour and got people up dancing, which was great.

After the gig I was croaking like a frog but was soon "cured" by two extremely cheap double whiskies, superb!
Talked to the convener at the club about playing there in the future so watch this space.

It was a long weekend travelling-wise and absolutely knacked but a perfect weekend for the band.

March Styx Glenrothes & Bar Itza Kirkcaldy
Two gigs this weekend starting in Glenrothes.

Played in Styx a couple of times before and was asked to do this gig a couple of days ago as a a last minute.
The place was relatively busy when we started and got really busy about three songs in.  Brian had a nightmare start with button trouble on the midi which kinda threw us a bit for a song or two but the three stoogies soon got back into their stride and galloped through a very dance orientated set.  Great night.

Sunday afternoon in Bar Itza is always a wee bit special.
It was a good afternoon with the sun shining brightly (unusual) and we started playing at the back of 4pm.  A few people had taken the Monday off and were definitely going for it. The place got really packed after about four songs and the place was boiling. After the gig we had a few pints (I was also off) and it took a while to strip down the gear due to chatting which was nice.

All in all a good weekend's work.

March British Legion Glenrothes
Travelled up to Glenrothes (about 7 miles from Kirkcaldy) for about 7ish.  Just think, last week we spent around 4 1/2 hours in a transit, this week about 4 1/2 minutes!!!

The threat of snow hung around the place as we unloaded the van.  Dave hadn't had any food (typical) and we managed to get a couple of toasties to feed him up a bit.

People started to come into the club as we were setting up and by about 8pm the place was a round half full.  By the time we nipped out for a quick pint (tradition) and came back the place was heaving.

We normally play three shorter sets at the Legion but went for two longish sets instead to fill the night.  Started at 9.30pm and people just filled the dance floor from then.

There was a really good atmosphere in the club with a wide mixture of people which made it a great night.  The smoke machine breathed its last tonight but at least we got about a year out of it so not too bad.

The new songs went down well with people really enjoying One Night Only.  Thanks to everyone who came tonight despite the cold and hopefully see you soon.  Oh and thanks to everyone who took photos for us we really appreciate it.

March Kyleakin and Portree Skye
The trip up to Skye seemed to take ages for some reason and its never much fun sitting in a transit van for four hours with your arse steadily getting numb!!!
Never seen so many flamin big deer in glen Sheil before, if you hit one of them big antler buggers it would be good night tansit van.

Got set up as soon as we got there and the place started to fill up as we played with people up for dancing straight away.  You get to know a few people with playing often and it was a great night with people drinking with both hands (as we all do in Skye!!).

With a severe hang over we all headed up to Portree.  Dot at the Caley took one look at us and it was "hair of the dog or tea?", shock horror the intrepid rocksters opted for tea!!!!

Set up and crashed in the room, absolutely knacked.

Showered, shaved and second wind blowing we headed into town for a couple of beers before playing.  Big shout for Cammie in the Royal Scot.  Just think a country and western Billy Connelly with less hair and you'll get the picture.  Unfortunately the place was quiet but the guy can sing and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  You can't beat live music.

The Caley was busy but not stuffed early on but as the set wore on the place started to get really busy as we played new songs from Duffy (Chart Number 1) and One Night Only (Chart Number 21) and the place was jumping.
Must be the first time for a while we didn't end with 500 mile though.  Happy birthday to Ruairidh and hope you enjoy the presents but remember I'm sure Brain took a shine to that sock!!!!

Oh, on the way home got back down to Broadford only to discover that the side door was open and we were minus two bags.  Coffee at the garage and headed BACK to Portree to retrieve the bags only to discover them on a pavement on the outskirts of Portree, just sitting there!!!!!  Capped off another fabulous weekend on the Isle, never a dull moment.

February Bar Itza Kirkcaldy
Ah, the great scottish weather, rain, hail, wind....... great.  It was  dreadful night as the rain lashed our wee seaside town.
Bar Itza was quiet when we were setting up, just how we like i.  We are still using the spare bass bins and they do sound immense.  The sound it pretty sharp and clear but we are still getting use to the new bins so it will take us a couple of times to get the levels perfect.  We also have some new effects unit that makes all the difference, no more feedback and squeals, hopefully.

Tonight was a different crowd and a lot of people hadn't seen us before.  Played Oasis Wonderwall for the frst time and it went down pretty well with people singing along.  Forgot what a good song it was.

Great night and special thanks; to the girl from Dysart brass band, hope you do well in the competition, to Karen, hope you like the Tee shirt, :-))))

February Kittys Kirkcaldy

There is nothing better than having few beers in the afternoon watching some live music then picking up some fast food on the way home in time to see songs of praise!!  I have never really managed the late night part of Sunday due to one to many sherberts so playing late on a Sunday was something new for us.

Kittys is a big club with great lights, big dance floor and a good stage.  We played last month and it was good so we were looking forward to it.
As our new bass bins have not been delivered yet
Sound Control in Kirkcaldy gave us a shot of the demo pair.  The sound through the full system was pretty impressive as the last time we kind of struggled with feedback etc.  Well..........!! at least the sound was great during the soundcheck but it would have helped if I had turned the volume up on BOTH bass bins for the gig!!  Still the Mackie bins are renowed for their quality and we got by with just one pumping.

We started at around 11.45pm and although there were people in it was a bit sparce but soon gathered pace and ended up a fair crowd in.  We recognised a number of faces and it was great to have a chat.  I spoke to one guy who was convinced I was miming, I think it was one of the Amy Winehouse songs but honest mate, apart from some midi keyboards, that is us playing live and that was me singing!!!  And thanks for the compliments.

Oh, happy birthday to Dawn Diamond and a big thanks as it was Dawn (who until recently sung throughout the folk scene and is still recording) persuaded us to produce a website.  Its OK Dawn I'll not let anybody know your age!!!

February Selkirk Conservative Club

Ha!!!  Got lost as usual on the way down to Selkirk.  Our three intrepid explorers still rely on gut instinct, intuition and a good sense of direction.  We're doomed then!!!  A wee map tucked in someones pocket would probably take the guess work out of the trip but instead it was the usual, "is it this turn off or the next one?" and the world famous, "can't remember this road!!! How do we get anywhere!!!

The club started to fill up during the sound check so it was looking like it was going to be a good night.   A lot of preople stopped to have a chat and remembered us from the last time we played which was cool.

Nipped out for a quick drink to THe Cross Keys before we played.  This steamin drunk guy in the pub started pointing and sort of blurbing at us, I think it was the black shirts and brown pin ties."Ahhh, Beatles.......... are yoosh a band?", "Yup" we said, "Where yoosh playing then" he asked.  "Tory club mate" we replied. "Bugger, Ah'm barred from there!".  No shit sherlock, can't imagine why!!!!

Started at 9pm and it was a bit of a slow start as people just sat and listened to the first few songs then gradually the dance floor filled. By the end of the first set the dance floor was busy and nobody fell over our stuff once which is a first.

We finished after midnight and had a couple of drinks after.  Great, friendly relaxed crowd and we really enjoyed the night and looking forward to the Common Riding weekend.

February PJ Malloys Dunfermline
Great, our first date in a new club and we are driving through a snow storm to get there.

Played in Dunfermline a few times in the past but had always missed the opportunity to play PJs.  The pub/club with a licence to 2am is medium sized with a good stage, PA and layout. We are licky enough to have a sound engineer tonight so makes a change from us doing the PA which was great.

We went on at 11ish and the place started to fill up with people spilling from the surrounding pubs.  The mix appeared to go down well as people made their way onto the dance floor in front of the stage.

In between a couple of songs a guy comes up to the stage and says, looking at my 1976 Fender Stratocaster, "nice guitar mate, can I get a shot?".  Sadly I declined!!!!, basically he looked like he would have hoofed it with my prized possession, oh and did I fail to mention he was half pissed.

Still a great night as we played into the wee small hours and the management seemed happy enough to ask us back so watch this space.

Gave the camera out to a couple of people who snapped away but not a single one was in focus, doh!! But at least the BEBO camera got a few photos

thanks for another great nite at Kitty's on Friday I thought you guys were excellent as usual. Your cover of the smiths stop me sounded really good. I ve lost count of the times ive come to see you now and ive still no managed to hear you do Time is running out or Starlight. Let me know if you can  what gigs you intend to include them in your set so i can make sure im there .I vaguley remember you doing Time is Running out at the Fife arms last year and it was brilliant . I was downloading some new stuff for my mp3 player and i came across the stereophonics doing a cover of Goldfrapps Oh la la if and the beatles revolution if you've ne heard them they're well worth a listen think you guys would be good at both of them. Thanks again and it was nice talking to you and Brian on Friday  i think thats why your so good cos you really nice people as well as being a brilliant band cheers. Hope to catch you again soon. Carol x

January Kittys Kirkcaldy 2008
After a few weeks off with great plans to this n that, all we achieved was learning some new songs.  STILL to record songs, get new cards, backdrop, overhal gear, get cases, doh, what happens to the time!

Got asked to play Kittys at the last minute.  As we were getting the screaming abdabs not playing it was a no brainer.

Kittys is pretty big and we had nightmare as one the bass bins decided not to work.  We got a couple of extra speakers from the club but it wasn't the same.

I wasn't expecting the place to be busy but pleasantly surprised as we went on that the place was starting to fill up.  We played some of the new songs and all seemed to go down well.

Thanks to everybody who came to see us at short notice, we really enjoyed the night.  We have been asked back, so watch out for some new dates.

December British Legion & Bar Itza

Before we knew it, the new year weekend was upon us and three gigs.
Friday's in the Legion always start a bit slow with people filtering in from 9pm, but tonight was mobbed from early on.
The crowd were up for a dance and the large dance floor was filled for most of the night.

Its been a while since we appeared on a Sunday at Bar Itza and were hoping that the place would be busy.  Actually, the place was so busy they had to shut the doors.  It was one of those gigs when you just felt a great atmosphere in the place and when I fluffed the start of Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars everybody sang the whole song with us.  We were loving it.  Must be one of the best gigs of this year.

Hogmanay saw us back at the Legion.  The place again was very busy with people turning up while we were still sound checking!!  We were to play from 10pm - 2am but it was mostly a start stop kind of night with the Buffet, raffle and thank yous so we never really got in a routine.  There was a young piper at the bells and we had some Ceilidh music after so the night was varied and everybody had a great time.  By the time we got back to the house and the mixture of feelings of no gigs for a month and exhaustion had come to the fore my eyes were slowing closing thinking that, shit, it's 2008 already, what happened to 2007?

December Kirkcaldy & Glenrothes
We celebrated Chrimbo with back to back gigs in Harlem on black Friday and The Woodside on the Saturday.

We played at 6pm in Harlem as the crowds spilled from the office afternoon lunches and into the pubs.  The place was jam packed as we took to the stage.  With a feastive crate of beer by our sides we were destined to have a great time with peple just wanting to dance from start to finish.  Afterwards people were coming up saying that it was the first time they had saw us and really enjoyed it, which was great.  Had a few drinks after the gig and stotted home (one step forward two steps back!!!)

The Woodside wasn't heaving as usual when we started and later on I found out that most people were still trying to recover from the FRIDAY!!! He, he,.  anyway it got really busy about half way through the first set and it was business as usual.

The Woodside has been taken over by new management. They are still having bands but we haven't been booked yet, so watch this space.
Oh, we will get some XXL tees in the new year for the blokes.

December Cupar
First time in Cupar for No1SUN and never knew what to expect.  The Imperial bar is small but plenty of space for us which is unsual.
We arrived about half an hour late after taking a circular detour round Glenrothes after the Tullis Russell road was shut.  If only they would put some signs to tell you where the setour was going!!!!

Anyway, got set up and the place had the remnants of some chrimbo parties in as we headed up to Walkers Tavern to hear the worst Karaoke songs ever picked by anyone (Afroman - because I got high!!!) But brilliantly the guy singing put most of his owns words to it either because he clever or was too pissed to read the screen.

By the time we got back to the pub people started to filter in and by the time the end of the first set came it was mobbed.  As the night wore on we got a load of folk dancing in front of us and as ever someone fell over the speaker (we're getting use to it but I'm investing in a mouth guard just in case).

After two encores we finished about 20 past 12 and the hordes eventually made their way either home or to the nightclub.

Hunted high and low for some sort of take away shop in Cupar and Glenrothes on the way home but nothing was opened so we headed home happy, hungry, cold but definitely warmed by a good night.

December Dunfermline & Arbroath
First time in the Corner Music Bar in Dunfermline.  It use to be called Sinky's in years gone by but has been brightened up and looks an fine venue.  The raised part the band plays on is this sort of curved shape but enough room for us to perch on.
There was quite a few people we knew in tonight and it was good to play along in Scotland's old capital again.

We did manage to get people up dancing and we finished about 11.45, which for us is reasonably early.  Thanks to everybody who bougth a tee and to the guy who took the photos.

Arbroath was cold and damp as we trundled up the road from Dundee.  We always pop into another pub for a quick beer after we have set up and caught a blues band
